What types of medical consultations are covered by IGS?

IGS provides a scheduled GP consultation at the hotel in case of illness.

Does this service include reimbursements for medical consultations?

No, the service does not apply refunds. It will only be coordinated through the IGS provider network.

Can I get prescription medication after a medical consultation at the hotel?

Yes, if the cabin doctor prescribes medicines, the cardholder may request support for the purchase of these medicines, always through IGS and with a valid prescription. The assistance is provided by means of a digital voucher at Farmacias Soriana.

What if I need remote medical assistance?

IGS offers telephone or video call medical guidance with general practitioners in case of medical emergencies. However, cabin doctors will not prescribe medications for controlled use or modify specialized medical treatments.

What do I do if I have an accident and need a wheelchair or crutches?

If an accident occurs during the term of coverage and a physician dictates the need for a wheelchair or crutches, IGS will coordinate the service upon review of the medical opinion. Assistance will be provided during the hours of 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Does IGS cover lodging expenses if I need to convalesce after a hospitalization?

Yes, IGS arranges and covers expenses for extended hotel stays up to a maximum of 8 consecutive days and up to $8,000 Mexican pesos, provided that the convalescence begins immediately after discharge from the hospital.

What happens if I need a family member to accompany me during hospitalization?

If the policyholder must be hospitalized for more than 5 days and is traveling alone, IGS will cover the cost of a single airline or bus ticket for a family member to accompany him/her.

What does telephone veterinary assistance cover?

IGS offers telephone veterinary medical counseling for pets (dogs and cats) with no event limit. The service is offered daily, from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Am I covered for veterinary consultations in case of an emergency?

Yes, if your pet suffers an accident or sudden illness during the term of assistance, IGS will provide in-network veterinary consultation, including medications up to the amount indicated for coverage. However, specialized services and medical procedures will not be covered.

Does IGS offer legal assistance in case of theft or accident?

Yes, IGS provides telephone legal advice in civil and criminal matters to help file complaints or continue legal proceedings related to robbery with violence or accidents.

Can I receive assistance in the event of a death?

In the event of death, IGS will coordinate funeral services such as counseling, wake, paperwork and other related services within Mexico. This service is offered once during the term of coverage.

What happens if my glasses are stolen?

If you are robbed and your eyeglasses were part of the stolen property, IGS can arrange for the purchase of new glasses up to the stipulated amount, as long as you file a certified report with the Public Prosecutor's Office.

How can I access services if I have an emergency?

All services are coordinated between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm. It is important that you contact IGS through the established lines and do not hire services directly without prior coordination.

What exclusions apply to funeral assistance?

There are several exclusions, such as situations related to natural phenomena, suicides, accidents caused by crimes, and certain high-risk activities such as professional sports or military and police work.
